In cooperation with industry, AMS develops and maintains official U.S. quality standards and grades for hundreds of agricultural products. These standards are based on attributes which describe the value, utility, and entire range of quality for each product.
After umpteen calls to Barrytown and Maryland I finally called the FIC, 1-(800) 688-9889 and happened onto a very knowledgable public servant. She was able to save me from having to kiss more frogs.
Here is the website. They have purchasing specs specs on a myriad of commodities. It doesn't appear in any of the search engines.
