Hi! I'm trying to decide on favors for my wedding, but I'm not too sure what to make. My wedding is late October and the reception is at 4pm. At first I was thinking of just making chocolate mold candy and then I thought, why not make chocolate truffles instead (can I make them now and freeze them)? Their elegant and rich looking--perfect for a wedding. And then yesterday I was looking through a Martha Stewart wedding book and saw a really nice recipe for chocolate heart shaped cookies, one side dipped in vanilla frosting. The only thing I'm leary about, if I did go with this idea is that the recipe called for fresh ground black pepper and a pinch of cayanne spice. How would that taste?
I guess what I'm really asking is, what is the best thing to make when you're on a budget but want to have something nice for your guests?? Oh, and something that doesn't take up alot of time. So many ideas, so little time...
Sorry this is so long, and thank you for your ideas!
