: don't you think it is possible to build a strong foundation with some formal education. My education comes from my family(95% are in the food industry), media(books, newspapers, internet, and tv), and now from a small community college. When I started school, there was already a firm foundation there to begin with. I hope by attending school I can hone those skills, when I get in the real world, perfect them. Lorri Royle
Hi Lorri,
heres the question you ask yourself, what professional skills do I have?, school won't give you any but it will give you things that will come in handy as you begin to train, assuming that you take a professional position.
Its the same in aany field, my bookeeper said the same about the accounting field, "they come into the company with the degree but they don't know how to use a calculator professionally."
You'll do OK but remember when you graduate you're still at the beginning....with some usefull knowledge to help along the way.
PS, my email doesn't work.
