: Chef Sharon,
: " You can't protect all of the people all of the time." Especially from chefs who think food handling safety and food borne illnesses are just a big joke and if a few lttle kids die from it , well it's just a few out of the many millions of people who dine out.
: You have said it all Sharon, just tell me where you work so I can avoid eating there.

Chef,

I resent the attitude that you are taking here. I am trained, just like you, in food safety. I take precautions. I have never made anyone sick. I don't think it is a big joke, rather I believe that we have a right to safe food and should expect to get it. I hate to see anyone die, but they do from a zillion causes. We can't protect everybody, we just can't.

I think that you represent a faction of people who are scared to death of the "potential possible risks" in the world.

Food is our friend. We should eat, enjoy, and not jump around everytime the media "alerts" us to an alleged heath risk. The actual incidence of salmonella is low compared to the actual numbers of eggs being laid and consumed in this country.

Sharon
